I cannot agree more – had he held his hands up on the first day, been sufficiently contrite and then served the ban, the sport would have to accept his inclusion. But surely the attempt to cover up and lie, should make him persona non grata, at very least for bringing the sport into disrepute

It is hard to read people in this sport – but if Lance’s career were built on sand – you have to question why he came back if he had a dark secret to hide.

There are so many people that have been in lance’s camp over the years that surely one of them would have been tempted to talk, other than Landis if there had been anything to say.

I notice Greg Le Mond’s running dispute with Armstrong over his italian doctor connections has entered the fray too – the records have been subpoenaed.

We can only wait for the truth to come out. I hope for the sport he is and was clean.

Linford Christie struck me as a clean athlete too.

To consider banning him as a coach because of a doping incident which by then was known to be related as something to do with supplements seems unreasonable.

Not impressed with UKA english athletics or whatever they call themselves now.
